What Is a Prong Snap System?
Mikron prong snaps are four-part textile fastening systems consisting of an upper pronged ring or cap, a socket, a stud and a lower pronged ring. The components are manufactured from brass and supplied with a standard Nickel Free finish.
The surrounding prongs pass through the fabric and connect with the socket and stud. When the correct product size and setting die are selected, this construction provides balanced and secure attachment to the fabric. Smaller prong snaps are also commonly known as baby snaps or pronged ring snaps.
